This episode was pretty clear that Sasuke wasn't upfront with his feeling with Sakura he put a genjutsu on her to prioritize her safety in a fuq up way. Sakura knew that Sasuke have been tormented by "Love" which is why he want to cut ties with Sakura and everyone. Sakura wants to fill in the hole cause she loves him.

This goes to show you that Sasuke does care, this whole time we got the impression that he doesn't "care" simpily because it was never revealed behind his feeling, but now Sasuke starts to reveal his expression behind team 7 one by one.

When Kakashi said that Sakura doesn't love him based romantic alone, but she loves him cause she cares about him, Sasuke was immediately responded with the flashback when he once received love from his family.

In the manga, Sasuke stabbed Sakura on a whim without any sign of caring.

Look up body language for a cold blooded killer and ninja like sasuke , if he hated her the genjutsu wouldn't have been genjutsu ,
