[Question] Anime is falling down (for me anyway)

Well, you're clearly not watching the right anime, then. The best anime out there have almost no plot holes, at least not ones that people will immediately notice. You just gotta find them (there aren't many like that nowadays, so you may have to go back a few years).

My favorite anime right now is Steins;Gate - excellent plot with virtually no plot holes, even in spite of its complex time-travel theory:)

I don't think Attack on Titan has a lot, or any, plot holes. The anime is fairly decent.

If you liked Death Note, try Monster. No plot holes I can think of off the top of my head, though it may not be your cup of tea if you're into the traditional battle shounen genre.

Also try Fate/Zero. It has beautiful animation/soundtrack and an interesting plot. A warning that the first episode is pretty boring since it's pretty much feels like a 40 minute documentary ._.

EVA's awesome too, though I know some people have dropped it because of the main character. Still give it a try though since it has a unique way of presenting itself.

I've watched Steins;Gate , it was a decent anime
