Well all that means is that they do one hour-long episode instead of two half-hour ones.

well what ever happens i hope they do an hour ep soon it would be very good i would love a double ep or an hour special at some stage because after watching the newest ep i always wish it was a double but i guess they release a double ep or an hour special at somepoint

I Checked it again and yes you're right 248-249 will be a one hour special broadcast called " Naruto Shippuuden Special: The Father's Decision - The Mother's Tears - The Secret of Naruto's Birth!"

That's what all the comments under today's episode were saying but I don't know where they saw that. The same thing was said about last weeks episode, that it was going to be an hour long special, but it didn't happen. So I wouldn't count on it...
