The only eye stated to have mutated/devolved was byakugan to Sharingan in part one. But we all know now how bogus that is.

The anime doesn't make sense with canon because if hagoromo awakened sharingan then it should've instantly evolved into rinnegan since he has ashura+indra chakra as his base chakra and it would not take years like in madara's case as wat was portrayed in the filler.
The only part i feel makes sense is hago's eyes bein byakugan eyes before they became rinnegan.

I thought the manga & the anime both confirmed that the Rinne is a natural evolution from the sharingan. (Kabuto i think found it out) So it's only right Hogo went 3T str8 to Rinne because he's the son of the Juubi or Kaguya who had Rinnesharingan. EMS is something the Uchiha figured out to not go blind. Indra's MS is 3T evolved, there was no EMS in his era him being the only doujutsu user. Indra would've went MS to Rinnegan too if he hadn't pass because he has Hogoromo's chakra direct.

All the steps Madara took to get his Rinne Indra nor his father had to go threw because their chakra were way potent compared to a watered down Uchiha blood.

So doujutsu in order would go:

Byakugan
Sharingan
Mangekyo
(This eye is debatable only two accomplish this)Eternal mangekyo
Rinnegan
Rinnesharingan

Only thing is! The manga never states what eye Hogo was born with (only that he's sage) because i was under the impression that it was the Rinne but that can't be the case cause his mom doesn't have a Rinne but a up-graded RS.
