I think his death was just to catapult the next part of the story, although certainly shouldn't of died like that

Of course, in the context of the show it's perfectly unexpected and totally works but the character deserved more. Then again, they do say that those types die young.

And um...I kinda hope they don't to be honest. They do the movie retellings and the Parallel Works to expand the universe and that's more than enough. The ending was so perfect and I hope they leave it as the masterpiece it is.
