Anime Boruto is a different Boruto

14 episodes in . The Boruto we're seeing is NOTHING like the movie one . I made a thread about this when there were 4 episodes but now we had more moments for him that proves more and more that they are different.

Anime Boruto: Although he has different traits than Naruto like for example being Calm and Collected even when people are mocking him(episode 2) . And he hates being a Hokage . Other than That Boruto is like Naruto. Clones and TNJ and Determination and making effort . As he is now he doesn't look like a cheater smh.

Movie Boruto : a brat selfish peice of shit that thinks of only himself(Didn't want to apply to the chunin exam/not thinking of Mitsuki and Sarada) and cheats and always nagging and nagging like a spoiled Shit . Movie Boruto does little effort and he's barely determined to do anything . TNJ was not his thing according to how he acts.

If they're adapting the movie which is inivatable it looks like Boruto is changing alot . But damn episode 14 with Sumire Boruto was just Like Naruto with the tnj and shit .

And this ladies and gentlemen is yet another prime example of why I've been advocating for the anime to wait at least another 2-3 arcs before animating any of the canon material (with the exception of the Mitsuki one-off). There are roughly 4 years between where the anime currently is in the timeline and where the Boruto movie is. That's roughly 4 years of in-anime content to potentially play around with, develop, and flesh out these characters—throwing curveballs at the characters to challenge their beliefs (though admittedly this was unlikely anyway after seeing how this arc was handled by the end). Throughout a few more arcs we could have seen a more natural decline in Naruto and Boruto's relationship which would lead to a more natural transition to the Boruto movie.

But no, for some reason we're apparently getting Gaiden immediately, which by default means skipping the 4 years in the timeline. Why people are praising this decision is beyond me.

I like the manga Boruto more but of course garden and movie already happened and in the anime he is just a pleb.
