Anyone who watches anime has used one or more of his favorite shows as a motivation in real-life situations..
For me, it was 'Hajime no Ippo' that motivated me to get better at boxing/kickboxing and such..did 1 match.

Especially sports anime can get your groove on even if you didn't like the sport before watching..
'Kuroko no Basket' triggered the urge for me to go and shoot hoops ;p

Naruto in general, motivated me to work on my drawing skills over the years, and to continue learning how to play naruto songs on the piano.. Rock Lee gave my work out's a boost xd.. used to be pretty fit also because of that.

Now, I strave to be able to draw Claymore art like my current avatar

What anime motivated you to do '...' ?

Naruto motivated me to be a bit more emphatic.

One Piece motivated me to enjoy life and do something awesome with it.
ah yes, Luffy's attitude towards life is remarkable. Not giving a crap about his ego in general, not letting any authority hold him back from making his own decisions..

Naruto motivated me to have more patient and to get out of sloppy street fighting and develop a style.
Sonic X (if it even counts as an anime) taught/motivated me to keep never turn my back on a real friend.

I don't know about motivation but I guess an anime teaching you something is similar to motivation.

One piece taught me that the world is a big mysterious place, and there is so much that has not been explored and it would be a hell of an adventure to explore it and discover something for you. It taught me to be yourself, and don't do things you can't do and for those things that we can't do, find friends that can do it.

I could go on and on but i'll just keep it short and simple with all that.

I've been motivated in 1 way or another by many anime but in particular was DBZ and the weighted clothes. I started shadowboxing with 10 lb weights strapped to my wrist's and 20 lb weights strapped to my ankles. I started wearing them (The leg ones) under my pants at work so I was constantly training. I moved up to 20 lbers on my wrist and 40's on my ankles. I started running up and down stairs like this as well. It worked extremely well. A friend of mine (who was in even better shape, about 20 lbs heavier than me and a huge Jean Claude Van-Damme fan) was wearing the getup I had on except he added a 80 lb vest to the mix. Imaging watching someone wearing 200 lbs doing jump kicks! From doing this type of training, I was able to jump kick things 2 feet higher than my 6 ft self.

Then work became my workout. My weighted wrist weight exchanged for a 40 lb tool bag lol, such is life.

Nice man, I used to have ankle weights which I strapped on and went for a hour run with a mate.
Need to get back into it..

Baby steps got my interest for tennis rekindled!
Let's see, I did kung fu because of Naruto(also because of Kung fu Hustle though).
When I read Bamboo Blade, I wanted to try Kendo, though I've never gotten there.

There's more, but too many to list ehe~<3
