why does the anime differ in someways from the manga, the anime shows stuff sometimes that the manga doesnt show, like that scene with hinata and kiba and shino in the cave fighting zetsu, r they fillers or simply scenes skipped by the manga

They are fillers. Fillers is the animators putting more depth into the story. It is not cannon and doesn't affect anything normally. Just for or entertainment and for character development for characters which kishi did not have time to develop much.

Sometimes it is also expansion of conversations from the manga. When you see ...... in the speech bubbles in the manga that means the conversation will be longer in the anime. But. when you are talking whole scenes as in the cave one that is a filler meant to add more depth to the story

LOOL .... does not mean "more in the anime"

It's a punctuation technique it's called an ellipsis

Definition and information:

Ellipsis (plural ellipses; from the Ancient Greek: ἔλλειψις, élleipsis, "omission" or "falling short") is a series of dots that usually indicate an intentional omission of a word, sentence or whole section from the original text being quoted. An ellipsis can also be used to indicate an unfinished thought or, at the end of a sentence, a trailing off into silence (aposiopesis), example: "But I thought he was . . ." When placed at the beginning or end of a sentence, the ellipsis can also inspire a feeling of melancholy or longing. The ellipsis calls for a slight pause in speech or any other form of text, and can be used to suggest a tense or awkward momentary silence.

Fillers are also used to make sure the anime doesn't catch up to the manga. If they catch up to the manga, then they have to wait longer to create the episodes. Instead of making the viewers wait, they insert fillers to make sure the anime doesn't catch up to the manga

They are fillers. Fillers are made up scenes in the anime by the animators to keep the anime from catching the manga.

What fillers USED to be were ways for animators to add depth to characters, filler are moments not in the manga, therefor are not relevant to the actual story.

What fillers are NOW are just ways for the animators to let the manga get ahead of the episodes. Fillers used to be entertaining, like episode 101 back in part 1, but now they're half-assed and are a waste of time. I really hate it when they do flashback filler, because thats just lack of imagination right there.

Well people have already explained it, so I'll just give an example:

In the anime, Hiruzen says "your powers haven't waned one bit" to Hashirama. He doesn't say that in the manga. If he did...well let's just say there'd be a lot fewer threads on this base.

Filler material is stuff that deviates from the main plot.. E.g. the Team Kurenai in the cave episode you mentioned. Filler is also added fight stuff to make it seem more epic.

Pretty much been covered already, fillers are just things used to make the manga get ahead more and to develop characters, which fillers are rarely used for nowadays.

Yep. manga doesn't have fillers. The anime usually go more in depth into the things that happen in the manga. Plus, fillers do not count. (And yes, naruto movies count as fillers)
