Anyone feel like the animation today didn't have the same feeling it had when we saw it in the manga, especially when Guy used hirudora on Madara it seemed quick like the animators didn't care. It was better when he used it on Kisame and when the 10 ten tails came out it lacked the excitement
anyone feel the same
Well, you had already seen it in the manga and thus were expecting it. Nevertheless, I agree that Naruto's animation has been declining. First in the Pein arc with those few nasty frames of Pein, then progressing throughout the fourth war/edo tensei arc. I also disliked the Kyuubi's animation when it attacked Konoha in the turtle island arc. They were trying to make it parallel japanese folklore art and failed miserably in my opinion.
I haven't watched the full war arc yet, but I've seen so many screenshots of it that have made me facepalm. Several of the characters look smeared, distorted and stick-figure like. I don't recall it ever being like that in the first series, at least not visibly or consistently. Since I haven't seen it all, I can't tell if it's fluid animation-based, but from my experience with the first half of the arc, there was very little detail, frames, lighting and shading in several parts.
To make matters worse, it's as if they put all their budget into the fillers and make them higher quality, which pisses me off that much more. If you watch the Chikara arc, you will probably agree with me that the animation is motion picture quality...I even wrote a nasty letter to Studio Pierrot about it, and I do mean nasty, though I never sent it lols.
