Hello all, I realize this isn't the right section to post this on but I did so anyways because no one is ever on the section I'm supposed to post this on.

Well anyways, I just wanted to share with you all my final project for my animation class. It is based on a much larger story that I've been writing as child.

This is merely an introduction to the universe and how it was created which leads up to the actual plot. Because of my time restraints I had to cut much content from this.

This story has been refined over the years and influenced by many things including Naruto.

So I hope you all enjoy and tell me what you think.

PS: I still consider myself to be a novice animator so take it easy on me. I'm merely just passionate about my work

Does the animation concept have some Zelda influence?

No lol

As weird as it is, the concept for this particular section of the story was influenced by tron legacy and watchmen

Intriguing.

My story revolves around the war that follows after this animation sequence.

But every universe has a beginning. I've read many religious and philosophical texts about god(s) and also the Silmarillion by Tolkien. Each of these aspects have influenced my work.

The reason I say Tron Legacy however is that in the movie the creator was present amongst his creations. There was something beautiful about him being mortal, and idk the movie was visually pleasing which I then pondered on. It's hard to describe.

In the watchmen, we see Dr. Manhattan, who is essentially god, reform atoms in his own creation. The scene where he sits on mars really gave me the idea to create a being sitting and meditating on a desolate plain then bringing about life.

Especially in the Shinto religion, one variation of the creation myth was that Amaterasu created Japan by gathering stars and dust into a bowl, mixing it, and then splashing a golden colored stream on the ocean which then formed the islands of Japan.

There was something really beautiful about the story, and I wanted to create one of my own that was equally gratifying.

Interesting. So this is based on a story you made since childhood? I would like to read it if you're finished.

Yeah, but this section "the genesis" was the most recent addition to the lore.

I have brainstormed and drew a lot of concept art of my story and its character. Most of it is still in my head, I only recently begun to write it on paper.

My dream is to make this into a videogames series since honestly I would love to be able to explore my universe and see the interactions with the characters.

I feel a vidoegame would be most appropriate since it can last more than just 2 hours like a film and it's visual. It being in a visual form is essential.

If I were to write a book or create a game series, the story itself would spam 5 parts. Each being a separate book or game.

There would also be 3 additional parts afterwards telling of the main characters descendants. So 8 total parts(not including side stories)

This universe I've created is my pride and joy, and something that has been in development for at least 8 years.

here is some early concept art for a few of my characters.

I would go for the video game route as well. The reason like you said, is being the duration. Movies and books tend to limit to a linear plot if anything. Video games, especially sandbox-types, can allow the story to expand. Those are nice drawings by the way.

Yes indeed, and I'm also fond of videogames haha. Much of the story revolves around epic action and some grand-scaled battles which would be hard to interpret in book or film.

But as I've said, the thing I love most about it being a videogame is the freedom that movies or books can't afford. Not only is time limited in movies and books, but so is amount of exploration.

With a videogame, it's like a virtual world where you can walk and see the world in ways the other media forms can't show and my dream is to walk in my own world.

In a sense, my goal is to create a Heaven on Earth. Just about every person's dream is create their own personal utopia, and I believe creating virtual worlds is the closest we'll ever get to that dream.

I think videogames are the apex of art, when done right at least, and that is what I intend to try to do.

Thank you by the way.

Alright man, same here haha

I appreciate the conversation ^_^

It certainly was refreshing to be able to talk about my story, I don't normally get much chance to do so.

Goodnight
