Hey kiddy-winks! Welcome to the next installment in the Movie Review of Andy...or Andy's Movie Review for semi-short. Let's get rollin'!
Today's featured film: Marvel's The Avengers
When exiled Norse god Loki (Tom Hiddleston) is unleashed upon the world, it's up to Captain America (Chris Evans), Iron Man (Robert Downey, Jr.), The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), and Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) to stop him from controlling the Earth.
...wow. Umm,...I really don't know what to say about this film. It was fast paced, energetic, and fun all around, don't get me wrong. But I suppose it was a little...."too much action". I loved it. But I feel it should've slowed down a bit. Everything just happens so fast. It's like a bee spinning around in my brain tying to get free...and bees are f**king fast.
So, I suppose I'll give this film a (7/10), just for being true to the characters, but also for having some amazing fighting sequences. CGI was used beautifully in this film, and I would definetally reccommend it for any Marvel fan but also for the average "Friday night" movie goer.
This film was rated PG-13 for intense sequences of sci-fi violence and action throughout, and a mild drug reference.
*UPDATE*: I also wanted to add that I felt Tony Stark (aka Iron Man) was the "main character" of the group. He seemed to be the one leading everything and had more screentime. That, and Captain America comes in a close second place.
