Android 17 is an adolescent with a short, slim build, much like his twin sister Android 18. He has shoulder-length black hair and thin, blue eyes. Underneath his hair, he has two gold hoop earrings. He wears an orange bandanna around his neck. He wears a short sleeve black shirt with the Red Ribbon Army's logo, and, underneath, he dons a long-sleeve white shirt. He wears a belt to hold up his blue jeans which have a tear just above the knee of the left leg. Just below the first belt he wears another belt with what resembles a gun holster and another pouch. Android 17 wears green socks and blue and white sneakers.
Android 18's petite form and beautiful face hides her incredible skill. She has shoulder-length blonde hair, blue eyes, and hoop earrings in both ears. She keeps the left side of her hair behind her ear. She wears a blue denim vest and skirt (with the Red Ribbon logo on the back of the jacket) with dark blue stockings, brown boots, and a black undershirt that has white and black striped sleeves. Later, she wears a black vest, a white short sleeve undershirt, blue green jeans with a golden chain, black gloves with a gold bracelet on the left one, and black flats with orange socks. She also wears a pearl necklace on her neck. When she is married to Krillin and living at Kame House, she wears a pale blue button up denim vest, white 3/4 pants and black sandals. Later, at the World Tournament, she wears a black shirt, with black and white strips on the sleeves, blue jeans, red hoop earrings, and black flats with orange socks.

Personality
Initially a reckless anarchist, Android 17 later reveals himself to be little more than a rebel without a cause. Android 17's strongest personality trait is his sense of self. He does his best to resist the will of his father , and fights a futile battle against a much stronger shinobi to assert his identity and his pride. He is also overconfident in his power, believing that nobody is stronger than him and denying if someone says otherwise. He is also shown to be very childlike for his age, often treating his missions as nothing more than a game, even deliberately avoiding full details in order to "play the game." Similarly, he has a tendency to go off road during travel simply because he thinks its "fun", much to 18's displeasure
Initially cool and confident, Android 18's sarcastic humor later becomes the most striking trait of her personality. One example of her sarcasm is demonstrated when Goku takes notice of her assembly with the Z Fighters at a Martial Arts Tournament, leading to the retort "Look, he noticed. How cute.". Shortly after this, she is asked by the World Tournament Announcer if her real name is legitimately "No. 18", to which she responds "My father was pretty dull". Android 18 still exhibits some of her sensitivity, especially towards her younger twin brother.

Lapis and Lazuli are a pair of notorious delinquents, who a mad scientist named Dr. Gero would meet by chance while looking for fresh material for his experiments. He decided they were the perfect test subjects due to their unique kekkai genkai. So he then kidnapped and tested a large variety of different experiments on them . Gero would also keep the twins hostage for an indiscernible amount of time until one day when he began the testings for the day 17 turns rogue on the scientist, impaling and decapitating him. After this, the twins would roam the map, sadistically killing all who so much as look at them the wrong way. These acts of pure indifference towards human life earned them their infamous nicknames of "Android". In addition, the twins caught the eye of the Mizukage for their pure ruthlessness and were sent official invitations to join the Village of the Bloody Mist. "This place might make things more...interesting, eh sis?" "Hmph."

Kekkai Genkai
The Soma No Kou bloodline technique allows Lapis and Lazuli to merge their bodies using their kekkei genkai. Typically, Lazuli is dormant within Lapis' body, with only her head protruding from the back of Lapis's neck, although she can move freely inside of and protrude any part of her body parts from anywhere on her brother's body.
