So anderson silva has broken his leg in his fight with Weidmen, who now had defended the championship.
I blame his stupidity in the first fight to be the cause of all this. anyways if you wanna see a pic/gif of it breaking here:

news article also shows it.

That's what happens when you mess around in the ring. You get no more chances.

He had a great overall career. Coming from Brazil were there is.nothing. the coming too America and being undefeated for like ten years straight. White beard said it best. I'm only one man and I won't be the strongest forever. My hat goes off too Silva he changed mma fighting forever

Silva still the best. It took him playing around the first fight, and him breaking his leg for him to lose.

His first mistake was fighting a high expert wrestler like weidmen.

weidmen knew what he was doing the second fight not so much the first, sometimes it's beating a big opponent that boasts your confidence and can make a huge difference that being said if they faught a 100 times silva woulda won 85 for sure. I just dont know what came over him, sucks for him and he is still going to remain one of the most talented the sport ever had. It's jsut even if he recovers now his confidence especially against weidmen is gonna be shattered. You cant go form being the king to not being confident and expect you skill to not suffer.
It would be wise to retire if his injury takes too long.

First Weidman got lucky and hit him right on the button when Silva was playing the first time(I blame that on Silva, should've played that much) and now he won cause of broken leg, either way I don't believe Weidman EARNED the belt. That being said I hope Silva can come back from this but if not, it's been a great career and he's still the best pound for pound fighter of all time.

Umm where is the confirmation that his career is over?

Anyways Silva is out of his prime it seems.. its time for the new gen of fighters to take over.

he cant comeback from that broken leg and play like he used to. by his career over i meant him not playing at the level he is used to it's best for him to just retire and not tarnish what was gold.

This is the end of Anderson both the Spider and the Clone.
Just like Frank Mir, he was never the same after sustaining such injury.

Jose Aldo, your next!

I disagree. People who changed MMA fighting forever were people like Royce Gracie and Dan Severn. Silva was just really good, but his ego got boosted too much and got the better of him.

First Weidman got lucky and hit him right on the button when Silva was playing the first time(I blame that on Silva, should've played that much) and now he won cause of broken leg, either way I don't believe Weidman EARNED the belt. If you watched the actual fight, you can see Weidman dominated the entire match. Weidman is undefeated, 2 of those wins from Anderson Silva, and you say he hasn't earned it?
