I prefer the anime. Fillers can really go either way, 50/50.

The only problem the anime has is it's inconsistent art style, some of the better fillers have added more to the Narutoverse than Kishimoto was ever able to do. The anime has actually made me like entire characters who I wouldn't even bat an eyelid to in the manga (Kiba/Suigetsu/Chiyo)
