Oh, haku's a boy all right...
I've seen it all... ;D
Lol but no really, I took Japanese for 3 years.
In Japan, males address themselves as "boku"... or either "watashi".
Females can only address themselves as "watashi". Haku addresses himself CLEARLY AS BOKU. Just watch the shizz in Japanese, people. Lol. Pay more attention to things before you post stuff like this.

Haku likes to look pretty. So what? xD

English:
"I want to protect the person important to me… I want to work for that person. I want to fight for that person. I want to make that person's dream come true… That is my dream."

Japaense:
"ボクは大切な人を護りたい…その人の為に働き、その人の為に戦い、その人の夢を叶えたい…それがボクの夢"

Romaji:
"Boku wa taisetsu na hito o mamoritai… Sono hito no tame ni hataraki, sono hito no tame ni tatakai, sono hito no yume o kanaetai… Sore ga boku no yume."

"Mister… you have the same eyes as me…" (お兄ちゃんも…ボクと同じ目してる…) ("Onii-chan mo… boku to onaji me shiteru…")
Here is the proof that he's male. Men in Japan use "boku" when they say something about themselves. "Boku" is the equivalent of "I".
Of course "boku" is not used much, because most of the times it's clear whether they are talking about themselves or about someone else, but they do use it.
Women use "atashi" if they are explicitely referring to themselves in a sentence.
^ My point exactly. :u
