I never understood the quote he said to hashirama in spirit while he was fighting the kages "if only I taught u how to rise from the dead" so I'm sure there is Another way to be revived but another later twist will be another jinchuirki and it being completed (madara) we still have to see the perfect Juubi

I think it's safe to say that Mada's motives are unclear as of chapter 638.

I'm pretty sure his motive is the cliche "world domination". Or something like that. If he wanted to continue with the plan, he'd let Obito do whatever he wants, because he knows Obito's goal is initiating the Infinite Tsukyomi.

I fail to see Madara wanting to live in a perfect world right now.

I think his trump card is something we haven't yet witnessed. Kishimoto probably got lotsa emails reminding him of "the disgust with ass-pulls", so Kishimoto added that little part in to hint that this was conceived at the beginning.
