The guy who re-drew Kishimoto's designs for the Boruto Movie is the person who drew this (and possibly the rest) from the Manga script.

Not sure if Kawaki's manga design and this design are that close, but they'll probably stick with Manga/SP's twist.

For example, I still see them animating Boruto's stem despite it being removed. I dunno why but they like adding their own stuff.

Someone said that the anime team usually add more depth into these scenes, so we might actually get to see Boruto and Kawaki fight before they start talking (as in weapon-play).
