ANBU, Useful or not

Am i the only one who is unsure about the ANBU Forces?, i mean they haven't proved to be very strong, i know that a lot of the jonin were once in the anbu but. It seems as though they aren't a force to be reckoned with

I think they are strong shinobi but due to plot they have to get trolled. How would you feel if the anbu saved the day all the time. Imagine the pain arc was stopped by anbu, imagine the anbu actually stopped tobi and he retreated the story would be lame.

I feel like the manga's plot under-rates them. I think they could be pretty awesome if we got to see more of them.

I Mean i don't expect them to come in and save the day all the time, but they could at least not get their asses handed to them all the time. I agree with the fact that they got trolled by the plot, which is sad because i would of loved to seen some ANBU pwning action

ANBU are forced to fight the most intelligent and strongest shinobi in existance on a regular basis. They are the last line of defense for alot of Villages. Of course we will see them die alot. But think about the ANBU that HAVENT died yet, they are almost legend status and their fanbase is increadible!!! They are truly talented and reach superstar status if they live to tell the tale.
