I did one for Soul Eater just a second ago so I thought why not do another one for kicks and giggles? If you think you have any tactics for the games I listed below feel free to leave it in a response.
This manga is classified as a Seinen. If you like Death Note, Code Geass, Mirai Nikki, and perhaps Monster, then you're likely to enjoy this as well. You basically have geniuses among groups of people in games to compete for money - it also deals with a bit of psychology along the way.
This manga escalates pretty quickly. An honest girl named Nao is forced to take part in the Liar Game - a series of "games" meant to pit people against each other staking millions and millions of yen. When Nao succumbs to the greed of her competitors, she is forced to ally with the incredible scam artist known as Akiyama. Together, they go through game after game facing new challenges along the way. This manga is filled with so many logical plot-twists that it becomes unbelievable how the writer thinks of all of this beforehand. You can only truly understand it by reading the manga itself. However, I'll explain some of the rounds for a general idea:
Round 1 - Liar Game Two people are given 100 million yen in cash! However, they'll have to give back that cash in a month's time. What's the point you ask? Well, you can STEAL the enemy's money for your own! If you end up stealing 50 million, you'll earn 50 million by the end of the game too. However... this also becomes the opponent's eminent debt, and who knows what the Liar Game officials will do to the losers?
Round 2 - The Minority Game 22 people take part in this game. Every 6 hours, a new "voting round" begins. One player asks a yes or no question, and everybody (including that person) must either answer yes or no via voting with slips of paper. Here's the catch: only the minority of players will move onto the next voting round. So if 10 people voted yes and 12 voted no, the 12 are eliminated. It continues this way until either one or two players remain. These are the winners and get the money lost by the losers (who all lose 100 million once they're eliminated).
Revival Round 1 - Downsizing Game Nine players are left here. Everybody is given 100 million, and of course will give it back as usual. The twist is: there will only be one loser here, the rest are winners by default. They'll each earn 12.5 million off of the loser's 100 million loss. Each player is given 5 "votes" to use every voting round for 10 voting rounds. You simply write the name of the people you want to see in the next round (you can put the same name 5 times). Whoever has the least votes by the end of the game loses. You can also "buy" certain things using M tickets.
In the end, what makes the manga interesting is the way the players interact with the game and their competitors. It's fun to see the main powerhouses easily gain control of the more idiotic members of the group. This is Akiyama's infamous quote:
