Abilities/Stages

Basic Sharingan (tomoe seals):

- Basic ability to see flow of chakra
- The Sharingan itself gives colour to chakra, the wielder is allowed to differentiate them
- Greatly improves chakra control
- Incredible clarity of perception, the wielder easily recognises different forms of chakra and genjutsu
- Reads and tracks opponent's movements; gives the wielder predictive capabilities
- Copies opponent's techniques (either taijutsu, ninjutsu or genjutsu)
- Powerful genjutsu (able to induce paralysis, replay memories and even tame the tailed beast)

-----------------------------------------------------

- Izanagi (changes illusion into reality and reality into illusion; thus escaping death and rewriting destiny)
- Izanami (counter for Izanagi; eventually forcing a victim to accept their destiny)

-----------------------------------------------------

Mangekyou Sharingan

- Usage of several powerful techniques; differs from user to user:

1. Amaterasu
(black flames as hot as sun; never stop burning; burn through everything)

3. Kamui

[DISCUSSION]

So, it's pretty obvious that Rinnegan is much more powerful in terms of raw strength and destruction. We've seen its power of destruction during the invasion of Konoha. Village was practically erased in one attack, and its funny how Nagato actually revived everyone after complete destruction, knowing it would cause his death. I can't find nothing to compare it with Rinnegan because it's a perfect weapon for mass destruction and if you change your mind after it, you can just revive everyone. But remember to eat some chakra pills or you can get killed because of your good intentions!

On the other side, we've got Sharingan which grants us to easily manipulate people with powerful genjutsu. When it comes to one-vs-one fight, I'd rather choose Sharingan than Rinnegan. I'd cloak myself with Susanoo, spam Amaterasu around and when I catch the look of the oponnent, just put him under a genjutsu (in case he's not a perfect Jinchuuriki).

Thank you for reading, I hope you've enjoyed it. Please, post your honest opinions on this thread and I hope we'll develop a good debate here.

What is this? You missed out so much for the Rinnegan. Animal Path? Naraka Path? Human Path? Asura Path? Preta Path? The Rinnegan stomps. Also, the meteor technique is just a large scale Banshou Tenin btw.

If I included each and every one of them, I'd made a text mountain, no one would read it. That's why I just put:

- Use of all six paths techniques
- Use of seventh path (reviving the death, creating and controlling six paths)

And described four strongest jutsu.

Great analysis, but I gotta admit that I didn't read.

Thank you, but you should. You'll maybe find out something you didn't know before. :D

ok, nice analysis.

Thanks for reading!

Read it. You forgot Tobi's Ghost Mode and S/T technique. They come from the sharingan.

Rinnegan Wins. why? due to it having every single technique available. Unlike the sharingan which only has 3 base techniques. Kamui is a special technique. S/T jutsu is not really a Sharinga jutsu but it can be used for it i guess.

Gedo Mazo and etc. Are to OP for any Sharingan technique.

Pretty much common sense... I didnt really see much point of this. You cant really put 2 doujutsu's against each other they have different abilities for a Reason and it depends how the user uses them. But yea the rinnegan has somewhat of a Slight power advantage then the sharigan. ThreD wasnt really needed tbh

I agree. Rinnegan for the win.

I've tried to make a point, I put some effort in. I don't know if I succeeded, but at the end, it doesn't even matter.

The Rinnegan gives the user a lot more abilities than any sharingan (EMS/MS). Also MS abilities are random so you can't gain all the MS abilities.

The rinnegan grants far more than the sharingan.

I think the Eternal Mang. Sharingan is in the same level as the Rinnegan

Nice thread, I like it, but Meteorite Technique is a mix of both the Mangekyou Sharingan and the Rinnegan. Oh, and by the way, the Rinnegan is a winner, obviously.
