Hiramekarei

Wielders:
Abilities:
Hiramekarei can store chakra which can later be used to transform the blade into a hammer or a larger blade. The size/power of the transformation is proportional to the chakra stored.
Analysis:
Hiramekarei is arguably the most powerful of the seven. It's ability to store seemingly limitless amounts of chakra and release it allows it to match any weapon in sheer power. The only apparent drawback is its excessive wait, which Chōjūrō is known to struggle with.

Kabutowari

Wielders:
Abilities:
This oxymoronically named "blunt sword" consists of a large hammer connected by a cord to an axe. While the two parts can be utilized separately, in conjunction they are significantly more powerful. The axe acts as a wedge which the hammer can strike to break through "any defense".
Analysis:
This is one of the most ridiculous of the set, not only because of the fact that it's not a sword, but because of its seemingly unlimited might. Its purported ability to smash through any defense makes it a match for any opponent, perhaps even users of Susano'o.

Kiba

Wielders:
Abilities:
These twin "thunderswords" are instilled with lightning, similar to the way Asuma Sarutobi's chakra blades are imbued with his wind release. Consequently, Kiba are claimed as the sharpest swords in existence. They are capable of harnessing the user's own lightning release, or naturally occurring lightning.
Analysis:
This truly is a case where the sword is only as good as its user. Kiba is essentially a pair of fancy chakra blades that, while deadly in the right hands, aren't anything too out of the ordinary.

Kubikiribōchō (aka The Executioner's Blade)

Wielders:
Abilities:
Aside from being a very large sword, Kubikiribōchō's only noted power is being able regenerate by absorbing iron from the blood of its victims.
Analysis:
Even more so than Kiba, this is a blade that is only useful in the hands of a skilled user. The regeneration ability is a convenience, but at the end of the day, it's just a big sword.

Nuibari

Wielders:
Abilities:
This "sewing needle" is just that. It consist of a narrow long sword with a wire threaded through the end/eye. It is said to be able to "pierce all and stitch them together". Quite literally, the wielder can pierce multiple enemies in one thrust/throw and bind them by pulling the wire taught.
Analysis
Nuibari's ability to pierce all makes it potentially as strong a weapon as Kabutowari for breaking through defenses. Additionally, its stitching power likely makes it the most versatile for fighting large numbers of enemies.

Samehada

Wielders:
Abilities:
Samehada's "blade" is composed of scales, meaning that for physical attacks, it "shaves" the opponent rather than cutting them. Samehada is also able to absorb chakra, both of the wielder and his or her opponent. Samehada's chakra sensing abilities make it a useful sensor as well. Some wielders (Kisame) can become concealed in or fuse with the blade. Samehada is a sentient being that forms a symbiotic relationship with its wielder.
Analysis:
Samehada is an extremely versatile blade with multiple uses. Because of its chakra absorbing abilities, it is most useful for tackling enemies like jinchūriki. However, Samehada has a mind and personality all its own. Since it has taste preferences in chakra, it is reluctant to absorb certain types (ex. fire release, because it's too hot). Furthermore, Samehada chooses its user and can betray one wielder for another, as seen with Kisame and Killer B. This makes it a paragon of the double-edged sword.

Shibuki

Wielders:
Abilities:
Shibuki is made of a wide blade attached to a platform that feeds a scroll down the length of the blade. The scroll contains numerous, regenerating explosive-tags that ignite only when the blade comes in contact with an opponent or other object, creating a wide blast radius. The resulting explosion does not appear to harm the wielder.
Analysis:
This "blast sword" has possibly the greatest blunt force attack of any of its peers, ranking it among the top for offensive capabilities. However, Shibuki appears large and unwieldy. Additionally, there is a reload time between explosions that is a considerable weakness.

Rankings:
- Hiramekarei: Beastly power and transformations with little drawback
- Samehada: By far the most versatile and powerful, but also unpredictable
- Nuibari: Tremendous piercing ability, and great against multiple targets
- Kabutowari: Absolutely the best for breaking through defenses
- Kiba: Very sharp and a good set of chakra blades, but nothing more
- Shibuki: Flashy, but easily open to counter
- Kubikiribōchō: It's just a self-repairing sword
