The other day guts2nevergiveup and I were discussing issues in the manga and thoughts on how the Manga should/could end. I wanted to hear some more thoughts on it so nevertheless enjoy.
Well I hope you enjoyed reading this. This was merely my thoughts on suitable ending to the manga; and I'd like to hear your opinions as well. And difference of opinion is perfectly fine but please be respectful.

The Events Following the battle with Kaguya:
Having defeated Kaguya I can see two factions emerge, those who want to follow Naruto under his friendship and those who will want to follow Sasuke (much smaller in number) due to his ability to see the reality behind things.Fundamental Difference

The people of the story don't want Sasuke to become the Hokage. Everyone wants Naruto to become Hokage. So if it came down to Democracy, Naruto would win in a land-slide no contest.

The Hokage Position
I used to think that they could break the Cycle via Naruto perhaps could try "forgiving" Sasuke and lets him become the Hokage. But in reality, that wouldn't work since the people don't like Sasuke and wouldn't accept him as a leader. Which goes back to

. It's clear to the Shinobi of the Leaf that Naruto was the one who stuck by their side through thin and thick. Naruto was the one who stopped Gaara's attack and defeated Pein's Invasion. It's the at the core of Naruto's character to help others and has dreamed of being Hokage/Bringing Peace since Day 1. Sasuke was not like this at all through the majority of the Manga and was consumed by darkness, and that's what makes him such a great character. The difference lies at the core of the character. So this could open up nicely for a "battle for the the Hokage."The Finale
The Long awaited battle would finally ensue at probably the Valley of the End to end things where they started. Naruto would start the battle off with the intent to reason with Sasuke like he did in the past with Sasuke going with killing intent. [
After Naruto is being beaten he cannot come to the strength to "kill" his own friend and at first falls at the hands of Sasuke. Sasuke is getting ready to finish off Naruto who's subconsciously recalling the past. Naruto feels that he's failed the promises he made with the friends that have died and prepares himself to be defeated at the hand of Sasuke believing to have failed. It's here that Naruto recognizes a familiar voice and meets what seems to be Jiraiya sensei.
After an emotional reunion Naruto finally realizes that it was his own Will/Determination that changed people like

, and others. His own distinct way. Naruto realizes the true meaning of what it means to be a shinobi. Remembering his lesson of peace with Jiraiya-sensei Naruto gets up as it is the story "of a boy named Naruto". Naruto jokes with Sasuke that he was taking a nap and then he goes all out. Eventually the two tire one another out and they are left to use their base powers on their own. They resort to using their signatures moves of Rasengan/Chidori and clash, which leads to a flashback of their the same move struggle during their first encounter of Valley of the End. Naruto emerges the victor this time. Then Sasuke truly breaks/changes the System at this moment. He realizes what Itachi's words finally meant and understands self-sacrifice. Sasuke understands what it means to be a Hero for Shadows and

Unlike Madara, Sasuke swallows his Pride and realizes that Naruto is the best. Sasuke acknowledges that Naruto is a true warrior and that he has won. Of course Naruto tells Sasuke to join him in leading the people but Sasuke says he must first rebuild his own clan and temporary leaves off (probably with either Sakura/Karin). I even can see Sasuke starting his own village as well similar to the

. In fact I would love if Sasuke did this. Naruto goes back and prepares to begin his life as the newest Hokage. (at this point it's most likely Hinata). Well I'm sure someone like Tsunade/Kakashi would joke that he's still a genin and can't be hokage, but with all that's he's done that rule won't be needed.Well I hope you enjoyed reading this.
