So I was reading an old chapter and saw this:
I'm preety sure that this is a page that many of you guys have come across at one point or another. However, there is something in this page, that, at least from what I have read, no one has pointed out before. It has been mentioned that senju and uchiha were the ones that started the clans as the sons of the second person ever who had chakra. The interesting part though is that in this page we see the younger son, the 4th person ever who had chakra, wearing a headband! This means that headbands is something that started from way back then. However, his headband hasn't any symbol at all so what exactly does he try to prove by that? I mean headbands' supposedly use is to show one's country but why he, even though he wears a headband, doesn't try to show anything? By doing that, isn't he cancelling its whole use? OR is it possible that by doing that, he tries to show that everyone belongs to his clan (metaphorically as a peace sign)?
The other interesting thing is that the older son doesn't wear anything at all so it might be a sign of not accepting his brother's ways.
In any way, now the strange part, even though the senju ancestor wears a headband, exactly similar to the ones that the recent shinobi wear, none of his descendants wear a headband similar to his own! Ofc, some of them, such as Hashirama and Tobirama do wear some different versions of it, while other senju have their emblem in a different way.
Point is that that there are two bizzare things:
1) senju descendants wear a version of a headband of their own clan while the younger son, the ancestor himself hasn't even chosen an emblem but yet he does wear a headband as well similar to the modern version.
2) It's more about the evolution of the headbands throughout the centuries. Naturally, you would expect that since the senju had a headband similar to the modern shinobi, so they would his descendants. Yet, here is as if history moves back and fourth: why the headbands, something that first appeared in senju's ancestor days, was later used by his descendants (in a less evolutioned version of it) only to resurface once again the modern era in the exact same shape form as when it first appeared?
