How the hell is he confidently telling Kakashi that he believes Naruto is the child of prophecy?
Isn't this crumbling down the whole picture of Jiraiya's last moments?
Not necessarily because until the fight with pain he believed nagato was dead whom he had once whole heartlessly believed was CoP so when he found out that his old rinnegan baring pupil was the head of an organization like akatsuki it made him think nagato truly was since part of the prophecy said the child could change the world by destroying it
