Sasuke wanted to kill Itachi for murdering their family, not bring peace to the world by taking the role of the bad guy to unite everyone.

His revolution came from the result of learning the history of the Shinobi world.

Back when he disliked Itachi, he ofcourse didn't like what Itachi did. But after learning the truth from Tobi, he began to highly respect Itachi. His revolution incoporated a part of what Itachi did - take the role of the bad guy, and sacrafice his life inorder to help bring peace.

He didn't like what itachi did probably even now still, he didn't like what the world did to make itachi like that. Scaring his own daughter to death would be pretty damn similar. Like I said I just think that is a bad theory
