it does sound a bit suspicious, i admit. since danzo could only use it for 5 mins, and since he wasnt pure uchiha it was weak. but i thought i remembered a different user saying it could last for about 20 mins being uchiha.
but didnt madara use it days later?

but regardless...

if he was to activate it 3 hours later and able to rewrite everything for the past 3 hours positively for himself, he would still have damage from before 3 hours ago. if the battle lasted for 2 hours, he would have 2 hours worth of damage. so not entirely a plothole. but suspicious none the less. looks like we will have to wait for the episode.

Danzo was able to use Izanagi for 1 minute per Sharingan he had. He could use it a total of 11 minutes of he gave up Shisui's Sharingan though he didn't. I assume that non-Uchiha that are not use with their Sharingans are required to use Hand Seals to activate the Jutsus of the eye. (Which is why Danzo used a hand seal to activate Izanagi when Obito and Madara did not.)

whats more interesting is that the chunk of hashirama stayed inside of his body after he changed reality of his death....

and second more interesting is that the chunk of hashirama didnt dissolve in the couple of days that it was in his stomach acid while he was waiting to be rezed by izuanagi

Tobirama most likely moved Madara's body as quickly as possible so he was most likely revived a couple hours after the battle he died in. Also, Izanagi only rewrote the part of his organs stopping and his body dying. It didn't rewrite the battle or anything else. (Only the part of what happen after he died.)
