But heres the funny part mate, no Mangaka has denied that Anime isn't canon. ;]. But instead supported it. =]. It is only the fans of specific shows who assume that. Anime is the only reason shows like Naruto, One piece, Bleach, DBZ and etc were franchises.

In correct, what you stated now is putting words in Kishimoto's mouth. Manga would've been only CANON ITSELF.. if there was no FRANCHISE for Naruto. But there is

Franchise= Anime and Manga

Anime and Manga work hand to hand. Unless you have proof of any mangaka denying the canon of Anime.

1. Nobuhiro Watsuki (I think that's his name) said one of the Rurouni Kenshin movies (not anime, but still ) was a complete embarrassment and that he would ever write anything like it.

2. Idt One Piece has the most-selling manga because of the anime. Just Saiyan.
