Amon theory (read)

So we all know Amon from Avatar legend of Korra, if you dont Amon is the new antagonist of the series,He is a non beneder and leader of the Equalists.

So Amon wears a mask because he said his face was badly damaged from a unknown firebender who killed his parents.

So I'm with two theories:

First theory is Amon is Kho the face stealer

Koh is said to be the oldest and wisest spirit and also holds a grudge against the avatar because one of previous incarnations tried to slay him.
Since Koh failed to steal Aangs face he has come to the human world to challenge the avatar. And also right after Koh conversation with Aang, Koh said this "We'll meet again". Which could possibly imply that Koh kept his promise of meeting the avatar again, by going into the human world as Amon. The whole taking away bending , Koh is a spirit an ancient spirit, stated by Avatar Roku that Koh was there during the beginning of the avatar world,so he already knows about energybending and the chi blocking techniques.

The Second theroy is Amon is working for Koh
Possibly sometime during Amon's life he probably went into the spirit world and encountered Koh, who either stole his face or gave him a different face, which could also explain why he is wearing the mask, the whole his face got damaged could be a lie. And also Koh probably taught Amon energybending because during the third episode of Legend of Korra , Amon said he was chosen by the spirits ....Koh! And why would Koh plan against the avatar,well since Koh failed to steal the avatars face and also a incarnation of the avatar tried to slay him, could be why Koh been trying to get his revenge against the avatar.

That would be awesome to see that Amon is working for Koh, I love both so mcuh.

what I dont get is that he calls himself a non-bender, but he bends energy which was the first type of bending.

also I dont see the problem with his energy bending powers because it is all based off of how strong your will is. If your will is stronger you can reverse it on amon

Good Theories. He could also be related to Ty Lee and learned Ty Lee's chi blocking capabilities, but despised benders because of what happened to him and sought out the Turtle Lion and learned how to take away bending permanently to bring "equality". Idunno...but I love the series.

Awesome theory. I don't like it a lot (But I do like it) or think it's it, but it's still good. I really really think the face stealer will play a role with Amon. In a YT comment I saw about a theory, he/she said what if Amon traded his face to that guy in exchange of his ability to make bending go away permanantly? I really liked that theory.

I wanna know, who is this firebender attacking people and their parents? I was hoping Azula, but they said it was a he.

I sort of hope Amon was trained by Azula and Ty Lee. Maybe he's their evil love child xd Either way, I hope Ty Lee and Azula made up.
