People have a right to retaliate when they're being oppressed. And as you said, the American Natives, African Americans, Mexicans, and Middle Easterners have all been oppressed in one way or another. However, this doesn't mean their retaliation is right in all cases.

Why blame the military? All they do is fight to protect the civilians or at least that is what they are told and the majority of the military is support overall.

They enforce the politicians desires. They have good intentions but don't always do good things.
