I don't own a gun and don't really plan on it so im not complaining. And tbh most of the people who go crazy and shoot people up are 1 those who get the guns (illegally/ laws wont affect) and those who have them for so called "protection"

people will ''procreate'' reguardless what anyone says or feels about it even if their not supposed to cause of religion or not some people just arent that religions. best they protect themselves at least. as a side note i like went people arent that religious some times people are so religious i feel like the tenseness of saying something wrong will make them want to kill you granted not all really religious people are nuts but the ones that are are scary

Well I'm not a religious nut, I just don't like the fact that this country is constantly trampling the rights of individuals. It doesn't matter if your religious or not people don't deserve to have their rights infringed.

You support that irresponsible adults are procreating hoping nothing bad will happen and in case something bad happens let's just give them free contraceptives paid for by other people. /facepalm

By your own logic it's not the place of our government to interfere with a person's individual rights. If two people want to have irresponsible ***, they can't stop them. You assumed I supported it. You're wrong. But the government has no place to stop it, nor could it if it wanted to. You just can't seem to accept that this policy is a good thing. We can keep children from being born into circumstances of those same irresponsible parents. And you're the one facepalming? I should be slapping myself from all of the "good sense" coming from you. You either want the entire world to magically become intelligent (which it won't.) or you want children to grow up in broken, economically insecure homes. Wow. Just wow.

Millions of women who aren't sexually active use the pill as way of regulating hormones to reduce the symptoms of PMS as well as create more regular cycles. While a lot of women do use it for birth control, the majority use it for a multitude of purposes (including birth control). This idea that women on the pill are only doing so for unprotected *** is a fallacy that's perpetuated by people who are typically older males that in all honesty have no clue what they're talking about.

Perhaps the solution to this whole issue is simply re-naming birth control something like hormone control, which is probably a more accurate name anyway.

The governments original intentions was to protect the citizens. The states have always been mandated with the rights of individuals. I don't support handing out contraceptives to irresponsible people. Better yet if you have a child and you aren't ready for it, you should be castrated never allowed to procreate again. Because you caused that child to A-Be aborted, B-adopted(which I hope happens) or C born into a broken family. Irresponsible parents are the cause, handing out free contraception is just supporting their actions.

While I do agree with you, the majority of the who are on birth control will more then likely be sexually active. Which again is fine but I shouldn't be paying for them to be safe. It's one to to pay for someone so their cyst goes away (happened to 3 of my friends) its another to pay for birth control because they just want to be an irresponsible adult.

yes its true that you only loose a battle if you dont fight but how you gonna fight a pill thats hormone control(thx for clarifying that) just cause your mad you have to pay for it in addition to taxes its a good thing cause if there more more kids school taxes would just be higher as a result and with no way to prevent that such as the pill then you would pay either way meaning a lost battle anyway.

It's not about paying for it entirely but the fact that religious institutions are being violated by having to provide it or they will be shut down. No one is forced to go to a religious medical center, they're ones setup by the state to serve the public.

I'm stepping out to take a shower, be back in 20.

is it still irresponsible if they use condoms too but they dont work 100 percent but they would be trying to be responsible but if they get pregnant any way kinda defeats the purpose of taking away the pill

Here, guns are completely banned. Not even the police are allowed to have guns (excluding any situation of terrorist attack, but that had never happened in my life yet) ^_^ plus, if one was found with a sharp object like a knife in a public area (including the street in some circumstance) he will be punished in jail minimum for 6 months or 3 years (not sure whether 3ys or 6mths) , depending on what he used and for what he used ^_^ so it's pretty safe for a guy like me o-o

OP: idk, but I support it. Yeah I know it would be dangerous if gov wasn't able to remove off all the guys from everyone..otherwise the gangsters will be ruling or something bad like that :/

Guns dont kill people, ppl kills ppl, u banned a gun, yet they will come with other weapons to make their point. Its people who need guidance, education and monitoring. Society must change first to overcome these abundance in neglecting good samaritan values. From society its starts and will ends within society too.

isit honestly a big deal though that they provide it considdering their looking out for the state when they do honestly and even though religious tihngs dont want to have to do with sexual things they could just provide it as a service to protect the person cause after all isnt religion suppose to be protection as well for the after life

Not true in the least. Considering we don't punish the sexually active, providing contraceptives is practically a reminder that 'hey, you're on our dollar, don't fuk up'. Plus, you've proven the instability of your own belief. They should be castrated? Alright, I forgot we lived in Ancient Rome.
Clearly I'm talking to a brick wall from two hundred years back, so I'm just going to shake my head and stop wasting my time.

I swear Obama better get impeached as the lier he is before he wrecks up this nation any more. By removing the second ammendment, you're basically taking away innocent peoples' ability to defend themselves. It's not like somebody willing to commit murder will be stopped by a silly gun control law. Also, disarming the people creates vulnerability to takeover by armed forces which has happened in other nations in the past. The second ammendment was there for very good reasons.

If there's anything that needs to change around here, it's society starting with the media. Play alot of modern video games or watch certain popular movies and tell me that life isn't being cheapened. Society just doesn't put much value on life anymore and the younger generations, who are tied more to the media than any generation before, are reflecting it. The incidents within the last year were commited by sick and twisted individuals anyways, but this really isn't doing any favors for peoples' priorities.

And you're making the assumption that the majority of people on birth control are irresponsible adults, which is unfair.

My opinion is simple. This is a medical issue, not a political issue. Let women and their doctors decide what is and isn't necessary for their bodies. It baffles me to hear these male politicians stand up there and lecture women about their bodies and what should be covered in their medical plans when a.) they have no medical training, and b.) they're not women.

As for the infringement on religious freedom, I don't see it. Nobody is preventing them from practicing their religion. All they're required to do is cover the health care. Whether that health care covers contraceptives is up to the woman and her doctor. Its no different than a woman who is employed by the church using her salary to purchase contraceptives. Guess what? The church is still paying for it. Its just covered by a different check.
