Well Amenojitekara IS an instant kill tech....Its a space/time/teleportation jutsu meaning instant movement. Sasuke can throw his sword and swap a person into mode trajectory as he did to JJ Madara. If that were any other ninja besides a Rikudo level opponent the fight would have been over with that one move.
Calling the tech overhyped because it failed (or sorts) against people like Kaguya and momo( Otsutsuki clan =Rikudo level) doesn't make it weak. The oppenents it was used against were all basically Rikudo level.
Even the 6 Paths of Pein/ Nagato would get seriously wrecked with this technique. It's so powerful that it indeed riquires an entire Tomoe to use it. A Tomoe vanishes EVERYTIME he uses it. This is why he couldn't use it through most of the Kaguya fight. Once they reached the gravity semi soon he got a single Tomoe back and used it immediately to get behind Kaguya to strike, but she replenished enough chakra, and her own Sharinnegan detected Sasuke before he could strike and she teleported away.
Has the gravity not been so heavy Sauce would probably had thrown something sharp and powered Kaguya into it instead but at that time teleporting himself was the quickest way to attack her at that moment.
It was a good move, but Kaguya managed to escape it.
