Alright, this question is aimed at the hardcore geeks on this forum.

Which processor do you prefer, are you using it in your current rig, and what are your specs if you are?

Right now, I'm running on a second-gen Intel core i3 dual core w/ hyperthreading @3.06Ghz on my mid-2010 21.5" iMac. Bone stock besides the extra 2GB of ram I added, totaling 6GB.

Kinda weird you ask, because iMacs only run on intel.
I just run intel anyways, both in my macs and regular pc's. Just because I don't really feel any better performance coming out from AMD in the end, and AMD has seemed to loose off a lot of their competitive market lately.

I've never used AMD based computers/laptops lol, Im all intel, I prefer intel proccesors mostly, but when it comes to GPU, AMD and Nvidea are well suited while intel is meh lol..

My current custom built desktop runs an intel core i7 @ 3.20ghz with hyperthreading and 6.0mb cache. DDR3 4gb ram (2gb each) and a graphics card of AMD raedon HD 6450 1GB graphics DDR3/GDDR5 533-800 MHz DDR3, 625-750 engine clock. With windows 7 home premium. 500gb hard drive.

My desktop is alright, I use it mainly for moderate gaming, it can run some of my fav games with no probs like assassins creed brotherhood/ revelation, GTA 4, prototype and singularity on high/extreme details...

AMD Processors aren't all that bad. I use one as a daily driver, and it performs amazing in games like Crysis 2, GTA IV, NFS Most Wanted, ect.

They're a lot cheaper than their Intel counterparts, however.

And they have never supported hyperthreading.
