Ambiguous Ending

Since Naruto is coming to a close this year I have been thinking about how it should end. One nasty thought occurred to me, what if Kishimoto leaves everything up in the air? I think some people would be satisfied with that, but I for one wouldn't be. I find that authors who leave such things ambiguous cheapen their writings. I read because I want to know the story they are telling, if I wanted to make my own up then I would just write myself. Plus I also find that its the easy way out. For instance, decisions that will piss a huge number of fans off if is doesn't go the way they hope: pairings, political status, character conclusions its all just sidestepped. Overall I would prefer to have an ending that I wasn't very happy with, then an ending were he tells me to make it up myself.

No that kind of ending is the worst of the worst, that make me rate an entire series badly.
Kinda like how FMA: Brotherhood ended with the two brothers going their ways. Too much left unanswered.

Gantz ending disappointed me... I want to see something more clear cut, especially for Naruto. It would be annoying if we never saw the true end, especially since we've invested a lot into this manga.

Clearly not. We have been following this series for approximately 15 years. A open ending would be preposterous.
