Amazon confirms a Lord of the Rings TV Series

They're going to have to do one hell of an amazing job with it. This reminds me of Avatar The Last Airbender turning into a movie, but in reverse. It's true, it could be somewhat of a cringe to see other people play the roles that have stuck to our hearts but who knows? Might be a sh*tshow, might be great.

Nice, but I would rather have them make a movie/tv series about the Silmarillion, I want to see Melkor/Morgoth in action.
