Everyone knows Madara absorbed the flames. That's how he survived it in the first place.
However, it's only one of the abilities in the entire manga that can counter it. Juubito actually needed Onmyoudon to successfully mitigate the damage done by Amaterasu and was forced to block it earlier because he couldn't allow himself to take an attack on that level.
