My point is that it could never burn at 5000 degrees, nevermind 2,000,000 even if Itachi, Madara, and Sasuke all used Fusion.

It's just too hot. When Rock gets to that temperature it melts...When has Amaterasu melted rock?

When sasuke saved Karin from amaterasu he just got his new MGK sharingan ,he couldn't use AMT as good as Itachi did.
Why would they melt rock there not idiots .......
Only a skliied sharingan user can use amatarasu at high tempeture to burn thing in seconds ,when Sasuke used AMT against Killer Bee it looked like its normal fire ,only black.
And remember if you want to keep amaterasu hot you have to keep controling it with your eyes ,Sasuke just "shot" some AMT at Bee and stoped looking at him for a period of time ,then looked again to stop it .

You can see the flames on the trees and various other things...it's barely making a mark on the land/trees/leaves...nevermind all the rock that the flames were lying on.
I think you may be correct about them being able to maybe use Amaterasu at varying temperatures. There is no proof of this though. It's just speculation. If the flames were that hot though,they would have burnt through everything they landed on. Especially if they were roughly 5000-2,000,000C.

If it was as hot as the sun karin would be Dead right now, She was able to Take the black Flames for quite a Few seconds with Nothing But a Little Burn on her back.

Same goes for the samurai, their Armor withstood the black flames for a Few seconds also.

which part of the sun was never specified .... lightning is hotter than surface son tempature and people survive with 2nd/3rd degree burns

1) karin's cloak got burnt first so it wasn't directly on her just yet .. even so she has uzumaki healing powers as kabuto said, so she lived, she had burn marks on her body..

amaterasu isn't hotter that the core of the sun etc.. but it can be as hot as lightning or less - surface sun

Itachi can't look at Sasuke and the trees at the same time ,while his AMT burned Sasuke's fire techn. Its so hot it can burn FIRE

You have a tendancy to make smart points but I have to say that Amaterasu has been spammed so much lately that I doubt it has been shown to be as hot as it was initially meant to be. It showed a lot of promise when it was 1st shown, but Sasuke has made it seem like a simple fire technique.

Like Gaara's sand coffin. It was originally a one-hit kill but now it barely does anything to anyone.

Amaterasu is not as hot as the sun-It was said to be as hot as the sun,that does not make it so.

If something had the actual temperature of the Sun,then it would burn not only those things that it touches,but everything around it. It's a METAPHOR PEOPLE!!

I feel that it was said in the same way as those who spoke of the Sword of Kusanagi. Said to Cut anything, doesn't cut many things.

I am not saying it's not a great move,it is. I am just wanting to know if people even think it feasable that it could be that hot.

Rock Melts at roughly 600C-1200C and I have never seen Amaterasu melt rock...other than when Itachi used it. Even then,that was a toads stomache.

He did extinguish it. It's control over the flame that the user has. But it can't be put out by anyone else.

When either the caster dies/runs out of chakra or is too far to continue the jutsu. Can't remember where I read that.
