Amaterasu isn't instant

Pointless thread,
once you accumulate chakra you release the jutsu in an instant, usually that's what people describe as an instant and not what you thought.

Wrong because by your logic, Rasengan is instant

If it was instant, then the Raikage nor Sasuke would have been able to dodge it

So far, the only one who has dodged Sasuke's amaterasu was A, and he was in his beast mode V2 I believe. Just because I say it can hardly be dodged, does not mean it can't be blocked very easily. I believe Ninjas like Naruto, A and Minato can dodge amaterasu :| anyone else should really just block it if they can.

However he already knew and waited till Sasuke did the technique. ^_^. And I agree that dodging would be the next best thing. However, people can also remove their clothes xD . If its on their skin.

Ay moved out of Sasuke's focal point before he cast the jutsu creating an after image of himself. Raikage moves to fast for Sasuke to follow. That is why Ay cannot be hit by Amaterasu. If at any point someone is in the focal point of someone using Amaterasu they will have been hit because it instantly manifests itself at the focal point.

Ever read that you can't dodge Amaterasu stated by Zetsu?
Because Raikage have reaction time out of this world combined with super speed that doesn't mean that any shinobi can do that if they sit and wait.

Otherwise Nagato wouldn't be scared of Itachi's amaterasu which he instantly cast on his dog, while Naruto didn't even noticed it.

If you have time to react to it, then it is not instant

Amaterasu is instant. However in case of MS it requires abit of chakra build up some and the strain it causes creates small delay in firing. After that however u can catch up ur target with a gaze and spam whereever u look for a while.
MS is also losing the sight after the awakening. Sasuke after just one fight with be already had focus problems, throw in actuall pain it causes its no wonder he couldnt focus properly on raikage. That if any of u ever had any eye irritation will see the abit of implications in using amaterasu.

EMS sasuke however displayed no delay in firing amaterasu in fight vs kabuto. He didnt suffer any pain and his vision was clear.

With this all said i dont think amaterasu is goin to be dodged anymore.

not everyone can do shushin no jutsu also it doesnt really matter since you will still get caught by it no matter what you do, you dont fight, you get it on you, you fight you still get it on you, because its a great defense and offense tool, and raikage could have died long time ago, if garra didnt stop him, with a sand when he was about to hit sasuke guarded by amaterasu flames
