Further proof of my previous claim. The Shinju was killed, making the tree itself useless. However, when Kaguya willed Madara to absorb the tree, he also absorbed her abilities. In the end, he was edged out because of how powerful Kaguya is.

With what scan Lol? The meaning of the sentence under the spoiler was to prove to you that it wasn't alive after being chopped in half. If Madara did not absorb the tree, his plans at IT would have been over then and there. Which again, makes the tree dead considering it can no long preform its sole task.

I must agree with this. Itachi's burst a hole in Jiraiya's OP summon and created a wall of immovable fire around the forest. Sasuke's Amaterasu gave a samurai a suntan and was tanked by Karin.

1) Sasuke 1 shotted the 8 tails with Amaterasu.
2) Stopped Kabuto and stopped 1 of his strongest SM technique's Muki tensei with Amaterasu.
3) Forced Danzo to use Izanagi with Amaterasu.
4) Freed Naruto and himself while being frozen in Ice with Amaterasu.
5) Speedshotted Zetsu's with Amaterasu.
