He isn't being inconsistent

The Kyuubi cloak acts as a barrier and constantly heals his wounds so first off,the actual justu never hit him and any burn effects he would of succumbed to were healed thanks to kurama.

True but the speed at which it burns is slow. More than enough time for naruto to push it with chakra arms or remove the cloak entirely.

Furthermore he could just dispel and re-equip the BM. Considering Sasuke's reaction last chapter I don't think Amaterasu is going to one shot.

Laughable. He tanked molted lava. Amaterasu has a slow burning rate, and the cloak will keep regenerating at a faster rate than the already existing first layer of chakra being burned.

Naruto can also get rid of that part of the cloak, completely disperse it, or use massive chakra arms.

He didn't really tank lava(molten is redundant), Roshi just grazed him and that burned his cheek. A direct hit would have burned him very badly.

No chakra is very very durable, especially medical chakra used to cut and heal. I dont believe that chakra has a mass to burn and seeing as how you can infuse your chakra in stuff, that would only be very bad for someone to try a burn someones chakra who has very good chakra control, when they can potentially turn the attack back on them.

That's true, but if Naruto removes the cloak, it will come in direct contact with the skin. Not only that, but Naruto isn't level-headed, he is quite frantic. Amaterasu on him will cause him to act in a panic-like manner at first, which will leave a lot of damage on him before he gets it together and gets rid of it.

That barely helps. Kurama can't stop his frantic state instantly or at all, he can just tell Naruto to calm down. While Kurama is saying this, while Naruto is registering it and while Naruto is acting on, Amaterasu will continue to burn, and he'll probably lose a lower arm and be very badly damaged in that.

And OT: I think it would pose a decent threat to Naruto. Naruto's cloak in itself is quite as inconsistent as amaterasu in terms of what it can do.

We see v1 cloaks blocking fire attacks and the juubi's tenpai chii, but the KCM variant seems to get burned by Roshi. But BM might be a different story.

Naruto's durability needs to be stabilized for consistency by Kishi. I know little things are difficult to remember, but I hope he stays on-tangent with this.

That's special samurai armor which is probably more durable than the kyuubis cloak itself. Even if not, they got saved only due to the fact that Temari removed them in the nick of time.
