He prefers to wear a green Konoha Ninja vest and black clothing under that. He wears his leaf headband in a bandanna fashion. He also carries Hayate’s old sword on his back. He weighs 160 pounds and is 5 ft. 11 in.
Personality:
Amate is a cool, collected, and kind person. He is very perceptive of others feelings. He puts on a very cool expression, and is very good at hiding his true emotions. Amate feels very deeply for all of the death caused by war and feels pain every time the loss of a hidden leaf shinobi occurs.
Despite this, he continues to provide his teammates with a constant stream of support and confidence, but at times he can treat others with slight disdain. He has a great love for Konoha and its people, and thus has a very extreme amount of respect for those ninja who have given their lives defending it, especially his older brother Hayate.
When battling, the pain he feels on the inside can come to the surface, and he may become incredibly cold. He will always try to avoid killing, though he will if he must for the sake of the village.

Background Info.
History:
Amate was born and raised in Konohagakure. He was trained in the Academy and was made a Gennin at the age of 10. And was recognized, like his brother, as a very talented individual. During this time he began to learn how to battle with a sword, like his older brother, Hayate. Hayate became his mentor and taught him the basics of swordsmanship. For most of his life Amate was rather distant, and self involved.
After a year and a half of being a Gennin, Amate undertook the Chuunin Exams. On his first attempt he failed on the second part due to a lack of motivation. After failing he went into a slump, questioning if becoming a ninja was truly a good choice. During this time Hayate became ill. As it became evident that Hayate’s condition was going to continue declining, Amate became even more depressed. Realizing this, Hayate talked with Amate and explained how he felt about being a ninja. He told Amate that he had no regrets with doing this and that he hoped that he could feel this way too.
For the next few months, Hayate taught Amate much of what he knew about swordsmanship to prepare him for his next attempt at the Chuunin Exams. When the time came, Amate found the will to continue on through all three exams, through thick and thin.
A year later, Hayate was killed just before the Sound and Sand attacked Konoha. Amate felt a great loss, but at the same time he began to understand others much better and the pain they must feel. This is when he quit being distant and self-involved. With this new understanding, Amate was able to better understand the decisions and paths other people take, making him a very perceptive person.
