Raikage intentionally hit Sasuke while he had Amatarasu around him, to show his massive balls (and to put Sasuke in his place of course).

every jutsu has weakness.... the weakness of ms are that they are too much chakra consuming and causes too much strain on the user.....
if the opponent is fast enough or the user is not having sufficient chakra then the jutsu is flawed else amaterasu is a one hit KO

It's been stated multiple times that Sasuke is a better user of Amaterasu than Itachi. I'm pretty sure that Kishi will expand Sasuke's movelist to include many different types of Amaterasu attacks. He may just give Sasuke an Amaterasu cloak which would keep Naruto at bay.

In my opinion i dont even think naruto and sasuke will use their full arsenal of abilities. I just hope when they do fight thaat the fight is loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong. =D
