Amatarasu, and Inari

Two bearers of life, and death.
One of the flame, and one of the fields.
Together as God, and Goddess.

One tending to the purification by fire.
One to regrow from the ashes, like the Phoenix.
Funny how many assume fire to be evil.
With her flames she takes, and gives anew.
With him he grows the old to burn, and makes the ground for the new fertile.

One reigning over Inu, and one over the Kitsune.
My they seem so different in mortal eyes.
Though there job is the same, and thus a mutual gratitude.
She burns the old away, for him to give life anew.

Together they are water.
The power to take life, but to give it anew.
Soon the rains shall come, and was the ash away.
Leaving Inari to do his work.

Only for the future Amatarasu to await her time in the circle of life.
