That's sad. Creepy guy too. She made some mistakes, some stupid like flashing a stranger, but nobody deserves to die over it. Cyber bullying sucks and for her in transitioned into real life, all because of her mistake+a creep. She should've thought before doing something stupid, but most of us don't, so I'm not going to be all high and mighty about it. It's sad. R.I.P.

I hope this helps people think about their actions before doing them, aswell as be aware of what can happen as a result from said mistakes. Also, be aware of strangers. Lesson 101.

It's a shame how know ones knows the life of someone before it's taken, but suicide is not the answer. I don't look down on her, but her choice wasn't the best one in the long run. We've all felt down or even contemplated that (suicide), but there's so many people in this world and things and place we've never met/done/seen, if we just linger on things may just get better, you know?

As for the parents, I don't know anything about them, so I'm not going to judge them. Maybe they knew and tried to help, maybe they didn't. Who knows?

I'm not sure if I'm making much sense in my random text, but that's that. Bottom line, treat people better.

It's horrible how a human-being can have such a terrible life that he/she definitely doesn't deserve.

i tell you what happen....like 1000 of others a year she had something happen for so long that took away her will to live for so lonf she forgot who she even was

the doctors put her on meds(like they did to me) that she didnt need because it wasnt a chemicle depresssion she was feeling it was a need someone to care about me depression and when your like that the pills make it so much worse

and eventually the pain that comes with anxiety which i experience to this day which consist of feeling like you cant breathe for hrs on end and being dizzy and sick to your stomach everyday and it not a sickness that will go away with a pill pr time because its streess so bad it makes you sick

and while all this happened ppl sat there and watched her die.......i use to cut my wrists and arms which left more then 100 scars up and down my arms which i later covered up with tats and you beleive me when i say if it was not for those who loved me seen this a said **** that we got your back dont die....dont put us through the pain of losing you i would be dead more then 2 or 3 years ago

I could never understand why people have Anxiety/Become Depressed/Suicide; Just being alive is enough to carry on, through even the toughest situations.

I watched the video and i actually just wanted to hit a bowl with her and let her know; "I gotchu ese, no worries."

Until you are put through it, you may never understand.
Ever been so embarrased that you couldnt even look back at someone, all you could do is cover you face and walk away quickly hoping to get outta there fast? Thats how I imagine she felt, instead of having that embarrasing moment, her whole life became that moment that some of us can laugh about later.. in this case. there was no laughter. Taken advantage of, No closure, no control, hated by all her peers, attacked for no good reason, nobody to have her back, alone, medications most of the time most of us have someone we can talk to about things.what happens when there is nobody? and the only people who do react to you are the ones who would rather see you dead or dying for what?..its not like she didnt try. But when your 15 years old, what else can you really do at that point. When the feeling of hopelessness comes in and takes over, what is life without hope? It went to far, and it became too late for her.

She was only 15 after all. It's not like you can expect good judgment from someone at that age. She really did need someone to watch after her, and the parents did fail in that respect.

This guy will get away and he'll do this to someone else.

I think I feel worse about the people with terminal illnesses because they actually want to live but they are slowly dying from something they cannot control. It okay though. Keep glorifying suicide. And? It was stupid but not enough to pursue her from one school to another, one city to another especially since it's not like she posted it on youtube.

Her parents mishandled it and authorities also didn't take proper actions on time.

The girl is dead. What mistakes she made is not an issue any more. The real issue now is the behaviour of other people towards her. People like you who keep berating a dead girl for a mistake she made as 13 year old girl more than a year ago, taking advantage of it when she was alive and insulting even after a death. I don't see you raging over the man who misused her shots, and blackmailed her. Double standard much? At least try being neutral for the sake of decency if you have any.

Was she looking for a little bit of attention? Probably yes. All of us want and need it from someone at one time or another. Humans are social creatures and she was definitely not getting enough care from her parents. Did she get it on time? No. It's failure of her parents and the society as a whole. That's why it is a matter of discussion now.

Not to forget that it's a reminder to other kids and parents to be more careful about internet activities of kids and to learn what the mishandling of situation may lead to.

Agreed. No one can understand depression unless they went through it. It seems real easy to distract oneself and get over it but it needs a lot of time/ will power/support from friends and family/all of these depending upon the situations.

Grr, I believe in peace but I do not believe in mercy for those who cause the death of others on purpose in such horrific manner. I hope they find the guy and give him the death penalty.
You know, if I would of known Amanda, I would of been friends with her because I'm never the type to judge someone for their past and I dislike watching someone getting bullied because of their mistakes. She didn't kill anyone, she only harmed her image but with time, it could of been fixed if only people would learn to stop being so childish.
I hate society at times b/c if people would of supported her and tried getting that guy for harassment, she would STILL BE ALIVE. She didn't have *** with a guy or make a porn take. Even then, it's not RIGHT to bully someone because of that.

There is no glory in this death. Just a tragic and pitiable death which could have been avoided if the parents and the other adults around the girl ) were more alert and attentive. It raises more concern than other such deaths because of the reasons and the duration it went on and seeing the large number of people involved in it- some of them thinking they were being righteous while they were just being jerks.

Should we ignore the internet predators and depression and social break down and not inform people of consequences and risks of such behaviour or neglect on part of all the parties involved? It is just an example, to let people know and think, not a disrespect to other such deaths.

i agree with this....one person is only so strong and i have seen situations where the biggest and baddest guy got killed because he was attacked by a group....now dont get me wrong the man im talking about was a drug dealer killed for money but the point you mak applies if their is enough ppl no one can stand up to it alone

and this girl was alone even tho she multiple time cried out for help

yes i did when i was 15 years old it was at a party and at the end of the night some guyz who seen the money he made that night jumped him and stomped him and when it was done i read in the paper he barely had a head left

i didnt witness the whole grusome thine as ppl left including me and the next day i seen the papers and thought to myself what if i would have stood up would other have stood behind me and could this have been stoped

the guy who was killed wasnt the best of men but he was a kid from the ghetto who started to feed himself and eventually gave way to greed

that was the day i started hitting the gym and never walking away from anything i see again

alot of the times ppl wont stand up because they are scarred or dont htink its their problem and you cant blame those ppl it is scary but i just cant walk away anymore one man cant save th world but your damn right one man can save somone and if everyone saved 1 person the world would be okay

that kid i am talking about he wasnt my problem and his actions lead to his results but i still cant help but think what if he was still here today would he still be a bad person or would he have grown up and changed his life and used his experience in the bad stuff to do good for those around him

only those who have been in the pain and shit can truly help those in pain
