If your a teenager this will probably be a good read for you. Also this is my unbiased opinion and I am not hating or trolling or trying to start any cause of arguments because of this girl. God rest her soul. R.I.P

Things she had to be grateful for.

Clean water
A home
Food
Healthcare
Didn't have bills
Clothes
Good looking
Cell phone
Internet
Computer
A Family
Parental support
She was loved

Things that caused her to kill herself

Flashed her boobs

Man threatens to post nude photos of her (12 years old)

man post pictures (4 months later)

Depression, anxiety, and panic attacks happen. (Anyone who has panics understands it's no laughing matter along with depression.)

Loses friends (very hard to deal with)

Switches schools and cities(proof she had loving parents who saved her from a bad situation)

Gets beat up(amplifies her loneliness since no one helped her)

Experiments with drugs and alcohol(can't really comment as I've never done drugs)

Reached out for help(smart move best thing she could do)

Kills herself

My thoughts of Amanda is that she seems to lack the ability to be grateful for what she has and chose to be a victim instead of rising above. Her parents obviously were involved so they cared for her and she had many luxuries most people don't have. Most people grow up in dysfunctional families and with single parents. Instead of rising up from A bad situation she became a victim and killed herself. Her reaction to what happened to her is normal but how she handled it was poor to say the least. Most suicide victims don't have parental support. Most don't have parents who genuinely care about them. I'm not hating on her because she has a horrible situation God rest her soul but I wish she understood the fact that she had parents who cared about her. Just my two cents.

I agree she should've not killed herself but why make 80 threads about it

The searchbar is suicidal now

I would have done the same.
But no one cares about this things until suicides or bad things happen.

I would have to say its asinine to assume her situation with her home and family life, considering she switched houses from living with her dad to her nom, meaning obviously her parents werent together, whether they were divorced or seperated or whatever, the point is we shouldnt assume, cuz I doubt u knew her personally. And she was a kid, not even old enough to drive legally, of course she didnt handle things well. And depression and solitude can really blind you to the good things in life, especially with teenage hormones.just sayin

I thought her parents moved and they were together I wasnt aware they were divorced. It still shows she was cared about.

my apologies for the double post but they were seeking help if she was on anti depressants. Anti depressants don't work immediately it takes a lot of time.

Death apparently is only tragic on NB if you live in a shitty 3rd world country, otherwise if you had clean water no one cares about you...:|

And really who cares. I care nothing about Amanda Todd or anyone else for that matter, but to say her suicide was stupid just because you assumed she had great things? Money can only buy you material things that's it. So what if she had plenty of clothes or whatnot, material objects does not make you happy. All death is the same no matter how you try and spin it. Some will always have a worse life than another person.

your post is flawed. Amanda not only had material things but she also had the love and support of her parents. Most suicide victims don't have parents they can come too.

Because you knew her personally? And she did not come from a broken home right? You sound so sheltered. You can't talk to your parents about everything, that's what friends are for, people who can relate to you. Which she did not have.

30,639 People died of hunger yesterday, just sayin'.

Btw the 30,000 people who starved yesterday does not matter because the 5,000 who were brutally murdered had a worse life, right?
