The anime's rendition of Indra is not a "better Sasuke". Sasuke's character has a lot of depth and complexity, this Indra is pretty vanilla.

Parallels are too strong with this filler. Then again, Kishi treated them the same way making them copy/paste characters

Just another reason to disregard SP's poor attempt at trying to modify the author's story. Ashura's power bloomed to reach Indra's level which means Indra had MS before a successor was chosen.

Naruto is nothing like Indra, he's exactly like Ashura, actually. Indra looked way more like a Itachi/Sasuke/Madara to me.

Filler was pretty cool. I wish they elaborated on what changed Indra ... We didn't really see BZ manipulate him bar trying to awaken his power. Even then they didn't tell us what he actually saw with the Sharingan. Only used it as a plot convenience as if there was something he could see with it, unless his Sharingan is just special.

Indra and Ashura's relationship was a bit borderline Itachi/Sasuke, at times I felt like I was watching different characters too. Though Naruto themes are hilarious with the older sibling being talented and the younger sibling being untalented.

I thought it was an enjoyable filler. I hope they actually show Indra v Ashura, if so, then this wasn't a waste of time.

Its because of his love for Ashura that he turned dark; When Ashura was about to die due to BZ sending a demonic Boar, Indra was able to save him because of his talent with ninshuu or jutsu(he realized with Sharigan that power brings order, and sought power so he could better protect Ashura who he tought weak) like Itachi he was perceptive from a young age and realized that the ninshu he and Ashura possed was stronger then everyone and that it takes power to bring order, plus he knew that people would eventually use ninshuu for their own nefarious purposes and disregard the original intent which had nothing to do with Indra's "Jutsu".( this is what he realized or "saw" with his sharigan) plus BZ and SO6P disciples would even openly admit that Indra was more talented than Ashura, all of this lead Indra to realize how powerful and astute he was and quite frankly made him a little full of himself.

Combine this with the fact that the S06P will choose Ashura as his successor (because Ashura was relateable to the people and considered their feelings) totally denying Indra what he seeks most, more order.

Rasengan? Chidori? First of all when did ashura create a rasengan that wasn't a rasengan , indra just did a lightning jutsu BECAUSE HE'S THE CREATOR OF NINJUTSU!!!!!!
