All of the previous hokage are smart tho. So naruto can't be the next hokage. Besides, Sasuke can be the next hokage. Why? Because he's smart and powerful and has defeated some S-Rank ninja. And Sasuke has joined the shinobi to fight Madana and Obijuuto, so his last mistakes are forgettable.

Naruto is the savior of the human race and the reincarnation of the sage of the six paths as well as the vessel for the strongest tailed beast, and u think people are worried about how "smart" he is? He's proven himself to be very intelligent in many cases and could easily improve mentally after he's not worried about saving the world. He's the only possible next hokage. GG sasuke

I guess Hokage title suits well to Naruto. Sasuke can have rinneagan or Juubi and beocme sage, wander in the world here & there just like Madara.

Cannot agree with this more. With the full respect of the village, one can become Hokage. No one in their right mind would forgive Sasuke for the crimes he's committed. His shot for Hokage have been deminished as soon as he left the village. Shikamaru would never become Hokage due to his laid back attitude, he refuses to even become a Jonin. Naruto has the utmost respect from his village and the good word of Tsunade. Kishimoto wouldn't toss away all these years of story progression on Naruto becoming Hokage just to give it to his "friend" Sasuke, who is a traitor and has the idea of Hokage all wrong.
