When the big mystery is finally revealed, there are always some people dissapointed, some excited. I'm ok with Tobito,even like it, but I think Madara's presence+Obito's shaky motives kinda ruined him for some readers and I understand that.

well .... how do you miss him when he is still there ?? tobi was just an act created for a purpose, he is not really a character (this should make you believe that obito is a bigger bad ass coz he is the man behind the act).
