Am I the only one who hates these Ootsutsuki?

OT: Intruduction of Ootsutsuki have a lot of common with intruduction of sayians, elite alien warrior who are just stronger by nature then humans. One can argue that goku was the sayian from the begining but yet we need to wait more then 150 episodes to discover that.

The same can be said about Naruto and Sasuke, Kishi making them reincarnation of Ashura and Indra, Hagoromo's childs made them like Ootsutsuki, just repeating same move which Akira did. It was basically rip-off dbz sayians race.

However in opposite to sayians race, Ootsutsuki recieved even more poor development which make people angry. There is also repeating use of them as villains to keep having threat in new movies.

As Shin would say: Evolution of the manga happened.

EDIT: I can guess you are fan of Itachi after your nick. What about Yata and Totsuka to be honest their hype also destroyed Naruto for me, so you think it was alright ?

Intrudction of these weapons just forced plot to keep introducing more powerfull characters... The hype in databook was supposed to have meaning...

Anyway Hagoromo alone was fine.

If Kishi didn't rush the manga then they wouldn't suck, Tobirama and Tsunade are also Ootsutsuki btw so you're wrong about them having Dragon Ball powers

No Origin or backstory from where they came from, yet they are praised as above god, making Itachi invincible + small feats proving hype.

From this point on I know it could downhill as Kishi overdid this time. I guess Kishi wanted to end the manga soon, so Itachi would never need to use these weapons again so they would be only treated as deux ech machina but sadly he expanded manga forced by his editiors and getting more money to expand plot.

However I agree that Rikudou as God of Narutoverse, would be enough.

Of course they are not connected to Totsuka or Yata in any form or shape. However these weapons just set the bar high so future characters needed to be around this level at least so reader won't be disappointed. It is just how Shonnen manga work..

Not really, since anybody who isn't a troll knows that it was just a hyperbole... The only feats it had was deflecting paper bomb explosions...

I'm of the school it's a hyperbole. I interpreted it as blocking any physical attack, but there's no way it could block something like whack a mole jutsu or Gaara reaching under a susano'o or a ftg when the opponent's body is marked.
