For some reason, they've always been distasteful to me. Konohamaru is alright in parts like when he and Naruto have their banter and Naruto gives him his wisdom or trains him, but the other two always bugged me, and I find the whole team rather pointless and annoying at times. Not sure why, maybe it's because they're younger, obnoxious, clingy, forcefully comical, weren't developed enough or have cliched, unappealing, stereotypical illustrations for me to relate to them. They don't exactly play a relevant part in the story either, which makes them come off as a waste of space for others that could. You could say they are like the Jar Jar Binks of Naruto for me lols.
Obviously Kishimoto was trying to make a parallel to Naruto and the K11 teams from a younger perspective, as well as make Naruto a mentor and follow the Will of Fire concept, but the former just didn't seem to succeed with me. I remember trying to get my friend into Naruto not to long ago and remembering how off putting Konohamaru, Udon and Moebi were for me, just as they were for my friend at the start lols. Even at the end, they came off as agitating and irrelevant when they stormed into Naruto's room making a ruckus like the brats they always were, even though they were finally adults and not kids anymore, while Naruto was busy, and they ticking off Shikamaru and causing Naruto to be late only to tattle tale on his son. :erm: Konohamaru was a bit annoying too. If he was a jounin and Bolt's sensei, why couldn't he have gotten Bolt down rather than *****ing about it when Naruto arrived? Sigh...the scariest thing about it was that instead of paralleling the rest of the k11 teams, in the very end, they came off more as the second coming of Homura, Koharu and Danzo lols.
