Whether it's extremist like isis or the jihad or dummies like illuminati conspiracist.
Religion is slowly but surely destroying the world. It's turning people against each other.

If your wealthy and dont satisfy someone your branded as satan worshipper.

People share different beliefs and they collide with each other.

Whats considered holy to your religion might be offending someone else's.

It's limiting people self awarness, self consciousness, and we're afraid to know the unknown.

We're being limited to ignorant retained species who'll either stop advancing or go extinct.

All cause instead of worrying about all we do in the physical, what we can do for NOW

we too busy worrying about what we MIGHT can do in a hypothetical after life that would come LATER

smh i just dont know

The world is slowly getting destroyed on it's own, for nothing is eternal and it's only natural, bruh, so I don't see what's your point.

Terroristic cells like ISIS, Al-Qaeda, Boko Haram etc. etc. will never threaten the world. The only presence truly capable of destroying the reality as we know it are the major nuclear powers and the greed and agenda's of the world's super-powers i.e Russia, China, America as well as the careless use of our planet leading to global warming and other natural destruction.

When you say religion, you're talking about a lot of different belief systems, so right there you lose credibility.

Most of the things you listed are either strawmans, generalization or non-exclusive to religion.

Its religion not a belief in itself?

"Religion is a cultural system of behaviors and practices, world views, ethics, and social organisation that relate humanity to an order of existence."

Or you could just call it a belief system.

You act as if religion can be separated from humanity. These religions are practiced by humans what the humans do with it is their choice. Religion isn't a living breathing entity it is the humans that use it as a sword to satisfy their selfish desires that are the problem. Any belief can be used, Fredrick Nietzsche was an atheist and was partly responsible for the radical beliefs of Nazi.

All belief systems can be used whether it be religion, culture, scientific hypothesis like evolution and so on. The problems of this world should be attributed to humans who are the cause not conceptual things without form or a voice that were created and used by the aforementioned humans.

Well, humans weren't created to match religion.

Honestly, yes, religion can be harmful. A lot of people don't understand that religion isn't a way of life but it's supposed help you shape your life. The people who take it too lightly or too seriously destroy what religion is really supposed to do ; connect people across the globe. In all honestly, Allah, Christ, Krishna, Yahweh are all translations of the same word; God. We're all the same but unfortunately human flaws like prejudice, racism, and such ruin what could have been a unifying concept.

This world is evil and meant to replicate and destroy the Prime people and other life. The Planet and the world are different. The planet promotes life and growth while this world which is the european orchestration of submission is doing just that, to most of life even there own. In saying all that im saying religion is utlized to make unself aware life submit to control them to destroy self aware life

There was quote something like in old days people fought for lands then for religion and now for economy. But even today religion has a large influence on a country and its conflicts and how the laws are formed. You may leave religion alone but other religious people wont leave you alone. But on the bright side current days are the most peaceful days in our history. Certainly people exist who would kill you or think you should not exist for not being in their religion but such people are contained. There are lot lot of people who see such things and say that's ****ed up and such things should not happen. Is not that good thing?

I get the point of this thread...

You are saying that religion is a leading factor in our world destruction and brings us closer to human annihilation.

I think it's another attempt to bring another flame war.

Religion as a construct won't destroy the world....the honest true nature of mankind will. Religion may facilitate the process but it won't be its deciding factor.

"Won't be it's deciding factor"? :/

What's happening in the Middle East is just one of the examples.

What you two don't realize is that faith itself is evil. Faith means believing something without evidence. Because if you believe something without evidence, then that justifies anything. You are no longer vulnerable to somebody coming back at you and saying: hang on a minute let me argue the case. If you believe it without evidence which is what faith is, then you don't argue the case. You say no, I'm not arguin the case. This is my faith, it is mine, it is private, I don't descent from it, I don't retreat from it. You are just going go have to accept that.

That is evil and that makes good people to do evil things.

Why do we need a book to tell us what our morals are? It's truly sad if we need religion to make us good people.

Only way humans will progress is if we start thinking for ourselves, by rational thought and discussion.

I think it's another attempt to bring another flame war.

Yet no one here is flaming. Your only provoking such behaviour with your provokative comments. Why are you saying that in every thread? Don't you have any substancial thoughts?
